During the 8-hour tour, our guests will learn about Greek history and culture while enjoying the best of Greek hospitality.

Parthenon and Acropolis Museum

The tour begins with a visit to the great and old Parthenon, situated on top of the Acropolis hill. Our guests will have the opportunity to take photos, enjoy the panoramic view of Athens, and learn about the history of the Acropolis-Parthenon. From there, we will take you to the renovated Acropolis Museum, where you will see an extensive collection of ancient artifacts that have been carefully preserved and displayed.

Dionysiou Areopagitou street

After exploring the Acropolis and the museum, we will take you to Dionysiou Areopagitou street, one of the most famous and wide-open streets under the Acropolis and the Parthenon. This street is perfect for a relaxing walk while enjoying the scenery and atmosphere of Athens.

Option A: Plaka, Anafiotika, Temple of Hephaestus, and Monastiraki

We recommend two options for the following activities. The first option is to walk through Plaka, a famous Greek neighborhood in the shadow of the Acropolis. This neighborhood is famous for its little shops that cater to tourists, traditional Greek restaurants, and narrow streets. We will also take you to Anafiotika, a tiny neighborhood that makes you feel like you are on a small island or village. Finally, you can have a taste of the Temple of Hephaestus and the ancient Agora of Athens-Monastiraki.

Option B: Greek Parliament, Monument to the Unknown Soldier, and Panathenaic Stadium

The second option is to visit the front yard of the Greek Parliament, where you can take pictures of the building and the Monument to the Unknown Soldier. If you are lucky, you can attend the Changing of the Guard, which takes place on Sunday mornings at 11:00 am. The Greek soldiers, known as ‘Evzones,’ are the guardians of the monument and change shift during the ceremony. Later, we will take you to the Panathenaic Stadium (Kallimarmaro), where the first modern Olympic Games took place in 1896. It is also the only stadium worldwide constructed entirely of marble.

Mount Lycabettus

Finally, we will lead you to Mount Lycabettus, a hill with a magical view that reaches the impressive height of 277 meters (almost 908 ft) above sea level. Located in the city center, Mount Lycabettus provides a perfect opportunity to enjoy breathtaking views of Athens while taking in the fresh air.

What’s Included in the Tour

You will be picked up from the location of your choice and be driven around the landmarks with your private Vito Mercedes van. Your driver will offer some details about the various locations you will visit, but if you need a private guide, it will be an extra charge and you can request for one by reaching out to us directly. Also, the cost of the landmark entrances (Acropolis, museums, etc.) as well as any meals are not included.
